Denver and the Mile High Orchestra is a horn driven pop band from Nashville, TN. With influences ranging from horn bands such as Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, and Huey Lewis and the News along with more current bands like Maroon 5, Denver and the Mile High Orchestra seek to take the best of classic pop music and combine it with a more modern edge to provide listeners with a familiar, yet fresh sound.
With a 7 piece horn section, 4 piece rhythm section and led by vocalist Denver Bierman, Denver and the Mile High Orchestra have been traveling all over the United States and the world since 1999, playing energy packed concerts to a fan base of all ages. DMHO member on Hannah Montana Movie!
If you are an adult and feel funny going to a "Hannah Montana Movie", take a kid with you. Scotty Steward (Lead Trumpet/Background Vocalist for DMHO) can be seen as a background actor in a "music festival town fundraiser scene" doing a dance called the "Hoedown Throwdown". Be prepared to laugh your heads off at how ridiculous he looks. Clearly, he was hired and placed in the dance scene for shear "awkwardness" and NOT his dancing ability. But a paycheck is a paycheck regardless of the humiliation, right?

Casting Crowns Tour Kicks Off Tonight
Tonight at the Berry Center in Cypress TX DenverMHO helps Casting Crowns kick off their 14 city Christmas Celebration tour with special guests Natalie Grant, Denver and the Mile High Orchestra, Avalon, Michael English, and pureNRG.
The tour begins 11/28/2008 and makes its way through TX, OK, LA, MO, OH, AL, GA, MS, AR, WV, NC, and end in PA on 12/13/2008.

DMHO part of Tennessee State History!
Denver and the Mile High Orchestra is honored to be a part of the events surrounding the Presidential Debate at Belmont University on Oct. 7th. DMHO will be performing at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville before the live simulcast of the presidential debate. This is the first presidential debate in Tennessee state histroy, and DMHO is honored to be a part of this historic evening!

DMHO on The Next Great American Band
Well the word is out! Your favorite modern day big band, Denver and the Mile High Orchestra are on Fox's latest show The Next Great American Band. DMHO was chosen as one of the 12 finalist for Fox's latest reality show. The show airs Fridays at 8pm Eastern, 7pm Central. The Next Great American Band is produced by the same producers of American Idol and is structured in a similar format. Each Friday every group performs a song and then the audience calls in and votes for their favorite group, the group with the fewest votes is eliminated and sent home.

DMHO recently teamed up with Dove Award winner Kathie Hill to help her launch the new, one-of-a-kind worship & arts ministry resource WAM! (Worship & Arts Ministry). The first WAM! product is WAM! 4 Kids 4 Christmas and features two songs written by Denver. Also, the band helped record the music for all seven songs.
WAM! is worship arts emphasis for children lst – 6th grade designed to involve more children in music programs by appealing to their individual interests. WAM! is the first product completely dedicated to helping kids music leaders involve kids in worship and arts activities and music.

DMHO will be headlining the evening concert at Expolit this year. This event wil take place on Saturday, May 19th at the Sheraton Miami Mart Hotel. July 4th Celebration
DMHO will be performing in Munster, IN on Wednesday, July 4th at Family Christian Center. This will be their annual patriotic celebration, which will be held outside on their campus. First Family Church in Overland Park, KS had originally scheduled the band, but recently canceled the performance with DMHO.

The show that was just recently cancelled at First Family Church in Overland Park, KS has been reinstated, and will definitely take place. This is part of their Wednesday evening worship service, so this is not a ticketed event. The service starts at 6:30PM. We look forward to seeing you there!

DMHO plans Christmas Special Taping

DMHO #4 on the NCM European Chart
Denver and the Mile High Orchestra is now up to #4 on the current NCM European Chart. This chart ending the 2nd of September 2005 is an opinion poll taken by 300-400 radio programmers and DJ's all across the UK and Europe.
BBC World Service in London adds DMHO to playlist
The BBC World Service in London has contacted Reel Loud Records informing them they are going to start playing DMHO's songs Good to Go, and Blessed Assurance.

The brand new recording SWING! is now completed and at mastering. Within the next 30 days look for it here at the DMHO webstore or at a Christian retailer near you. This compilation CD contains the best of the big band tunes from "Act the Scat", "Stand" and "Good to go!" as well as three brand new songs all done in the distinctive DMHO sound. You may be aware DMHO is scheduled to do perform at a private event in Minneapolis this July . On Sunday, September 26th, DMHO drummer Jared Ribble and his long time fiance', Amber Johnson, said "I DO" on the beautiful islands of Hawaii. They had a private wedding with only a few close friends, and of course, family members.
DMHO trumpet player Adam Beck will wed his beautiful bride, Karina Meek, this coming Saturday, October 2nd in their homestate of Indiana.

DMHO and Kempke Music have just announced their partnership for three 2005 music conferences. The details for these music conferences are available on the tour dates page. We hope to see many of our music minister friends there!!!
DMHO adds two OK dates in Oct
DMHO has just added two dates in Oklahoma, where our very own musical director Kenn Hughes hails from!!! Please visit the tour dates page for more information on these two shows. The show in Guthrie, OK is a benefit for a local food bank, "God's Food Bank." Please call the number listed for more information. Both events are free to the public, so plan on attending with a friend.
Pensacola, FL show Cancelled Due To Hurricane
As Florida has been bombarded with one hurricane after another, DMHO has had to postpone their concert on Saturday, September 18th at First Baptist Church. This concert has been rescheduled for October 29th, 2004 at 7:00 PM. If you already had tickets for the Sept show, those tickets will still be accepted at the Oct appearance. If you have any further questions, or need tickets, please call 850-433-5631. Please keep the folks in the Pensacola, FL area in your prayers.
New Photos online, Including the European Tour
New photos are online. We've also started recieving the hundreds upon hundreds of photos from the European Tour (and more keep coming in). It would be impossible to post them all at once, so we will be adding a new series often. Make sure to check back frequently. A special thanks goes out to all those who supported the guys on this impactful missions trip.

DMHO Visits Children's Hospital
When DMHO found out about a dear little 7 year old fan in NY who had just been diagnosed with Lukemia, they arranged to stop by and see her in the Children's hopital in Rochester, NY while on tour in up-state NY. It was an early morning for the guys after a late night show in OH, but it was an honor to get up and visit little Cady and family in her room! The guys surprised her with autographed pictures, posters, and cd's for her. Their love for the Lord was so obvious, and the guys of DMHO were so encouraged by their support. What a special family!!! The Conrad family holds a dear place in the hearts of DMHO and will continue to be in their prayers!
